Your heart is so much more than an organ that pumps blood. A Simple Practice to Get You Started
Find a comfortable seat and close your eyes. Bring your attention gently to the area of your heart. Begin to breathe a little more slowly and deeply than usual — in for about five counts, out for about five counts. As you breathe, imagine each breath is flowing in and out through your heart center. Then bring up a feeling of appreciation, gratitude, or love. This could be for someone, something, or even a good memory. Stay here for a few minutes. This is heart coherence.
It sounds simple because it is, but don’t let the simplicity fool you. Your heart your greatest gift & tool hidden in plain sight. Science has shown that your heart is incredibly intelligent and affects your brain and body in powerful ways. It is the key to your nervous system, emotions, intuition, decisions, and the divine in you. And the more consistently you practice, the more your body learns to return to this state on its own.
